Tick Tock, Tick Tock. Whoa — That’s a Wall Cock
What the hell is a wall cock, you might be asking? We’re not entirely sure. And we don’t really want to find out, either.
We’re all guilty of the occasional typo. Sometimes, though, one omitted letter can make all the difference in the world.
Case in point: the following headline, spotted at gadget blog NewLaunches.com today:
To be fair, a wall cock would make telling time difficult — after all, you’d have to have some serious control to keep the “hand” pointing at the right angle all day. And costly? Well, yeah. Anyone with a tubesteak that tells time is bound to charge a high hourly rate.
Just don’t try manually winding the thing, or you might be in for one nasty surprise.
