Cast List Revealed For Upcoming ‘Web 2.0′ Movie
An upcoming film will tell the tale of the Web’s evolution, with some familiar faces taking on the roles of tech’s biggest players. Only eSarcasm has obtained the complete cast listing.
Following the recent news that Justin Timberlake will star in a new film about Facebook’s formation, eSarcasm has learned another tech-related movie is also under development with some well-known stars of its own.
The film, tentatively titled “Web 2.0,” will chronicle the last two years in the Web’s evolution. Several A-list performers have already been cast as key characters from the tech domain, eSarcasm has confirmed, all of whom were reportedly handpicked for their uncanny resemblances to their real-world counterparts.
Thus far, the following castings have been finalized:
• Craigslist founder Craig Newmark will be played by James Gandolfini.

• Twitter co-founder Biz Stone will be played by Rainn Wilson.

• Google co-founder Sergey Brin will be played by Wonder Years-era Fred Savage.

• Google co-founder Larry Page will be played by Lord Voldemort.

• Chief Yahoo Jerry Yang will be played by Chuckie.

• Apple CEO Steve Jobs will be played by Harry Potter.

• TechCrunch founder Michael Arrington will be played by Leonardo the Ninja Turtle.

• Blogger Perez Hilton will be played by Wormtail.

• Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates will be played by Janet Reno.

• And Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer will be played by Curious George.

The movie is tentatively scheduled to begin filming in early February, or whenever someone manages to find that damn meddlesome monkey (and the primate who will be playing him).
