Why So Many Centenarians Are Tweeting

Plenty of people over the age of 100 are using Twitter, a new survey finds. We catch up with one of them to find out why.

Twitter, it turns out, knows no age limits. A full three percent of America’s centenarians are hip to the tweet, according to a new survey conducted by senior care company Evercare. That, my friends, is an awful lot of 100-year-olds sending 140-character messages.

We wanted to delve deeper into the trend to understand why centenarians were becoming so interested in the Twitter phenomenon. We were lucky enough to come across someone with firsthand knowledge.
